SecurityPal Visits the White House: A Milestone Moment

From Silicon Valley to the White House – A Journey of Resilience, Innovation, and Impact

Last Friday was a day SecurityPal will never forget. Our leadership team had the immense honor of stepping inside the White House — not as visitors on a public tour, but as VIP guests. This moment wasn’t just about where we were standing, but about everything that led us there: hard work, resilience, and the unwavering belief in what we are building.

What It Means to Be a White House VIP

Being invited to the White House as a VIP is more than just a title. It’s an acknowledgment of impact, leadership, and contribution to an industry or society at large. VIP guests receive special access to areas of the White House not open to the general public, including historic rooms that have shaped the course of American history. They are often welcomed by administration members, given exclusive tours, and included in discussions that align with national priorities.

For SecurityPal, this meant witnessing the White House's grandeur up close and gaining inspiration from that our work is genuinely helping world-leading American and International companies navigate the landscape of security, compliance, and the role of innovative technology in strengthening global resilience.

Stepping inside the White House was a surreal experience — walking the same hallways where world leaders, past and present, have shaped history. To stand under the same roof where decisions that impact the world are made was both humbling and inspiring. It was an honor to be invited for this tour alongside the SecurityPal Leadership team.”
Laxman Basnet, VP of Delivery at SecurityPal

The Intersection of Technology and Government

SecurityPal’s visit to the White House comes at a time when technology and government are more intertwined than ever. As innovation accelerates in AI, cybersecurity, and compliance, governments worldwide are working to strike a delicate balance between leveraging technological advancements to drive economic growth and mitigating data privacy concerns, cyber threats, and regulatory gaps.

Regulatory landscapes are shifting rapidly, with governments enacting stricter compliance measures, strengthening data protection laws, and increasing oversight of emerging technologies. At the same time, public-private collaboration has never been more critical. By working alongside policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry leaders, we can help shape policies that foster both innovation and security. The challenges of today — whether in AI governance, cyber resilience, or data privacy — require a collective effort, with tech leaders who bring expertise, real-world insights, and scalable solutions to the table.

Innovation isn’t just about pushing boundaries. It’s about ensuring that technological advancements serve the greater good while upholding security, compliance, and trust at every level. SecurityPal is committed to bridging the gap between innovation and governance, and ensuring that the future of security is built with resilience, transparency, and collaboration.

From Silicon Valley to Silicon Peaks

SecurityPal’s story, like that of our founder, is one rooted in perseverance. Born from a dream, fueled by determination and driven by the relentless pursuit of excellence, we’ve built something that stands out — not just in the world of security, GRC, and go-to-market enablement, but in the broader startup landscape.

When I zoom out and think about it from a larger perspective, I came to the U.S. as a child refugee. Now, getting to visit the White House as a VIP (plus getting a visit to Kathmandu, Nepal for the grand opening of our office in between!) has been a pretty awesome ride. Getting to do it all with an amazing team that's so focused on winning together — while doing good for our customers and the world as a whole — is just the cherry on top.
Adelina Ratner, Director of Finance at SecurityPal

The journey to this moment was anything but ordinary. Our founder, Pukar Hamal, grew up in rural Nepal, where electricity and indoor plumbing were luxuries, not guarantees. Immigrating to the U.S. as a child, his family’s story is one of grit, sacrifice, and the pursuit of the American Dream. This became the foundation upon which SecurityPal is built. And while SecurityPal was projected to run out of funding by June 2023, we defied the odds. Today, we’re thriving, growing, and in a financial position that most startups only aspire to reach.

“To my delight and surprise, I found I am descended from the same people as many of those who not only signed but wrote the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights! I had never traveled to the White House before and was deeply honored to know I was walking the same floors as those who fought for the freedoms we all enjoy today. It’s also a testament to the incredible team I have the privilege of working with each day at SecurityPal and Pukar Hamal himself, who recognized what the trip meant to me personally. Like my ancestors, at SecurityPal, we are all about people first—employees and customers—it’s always about the people.”
Jo Dee Massanari, VP of People Operations at SecurityPal

So, when we received an invitation to the White House, it was more than just a visit. It validated everything we’ve worked for. Walking through the historic halls, taking in the gravity of a place that symbolizes freedom and democracy, we felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for our team, whose relentless dedication makes SecurityPal what it is. Gratitude for our customers, investors, and partners who believe in our vision. And gratitude for the opportunities we’ve had to build something meaningful.

I was absolutely honored to be included in the very special White House tour. It was so thrilling to see the inside of such a spectacular establishment. Pukar and the Leadership team are doing an amazing job of growing the SecurityPal and listening carefully to our customers.
Lena Smart, Head of Trust at SecurityPal

SecurityPal is proud to be the first company from the official American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal to receive this honor. We may have started as a small venture in Silicon Valley, but our impact extends far beyond.

From Silicon Valley to Silicon Peaks and beyond, we are just getting started.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. SecurityPal isn’t just about security, compliance, or revenue enablement—it’s about building something that lasts, something that matters. And as we continue this journey, we carry with us the same work ethic, passion, and resilience that brought us here.
